The National Congress of the Spanish Maritime Law Association about the Spanish Shipping Act, present and future of Maritime Law in Spain, was held in Madrid last 11th and 12th June. The Congress gathered more than 130 professionals of the sector, members of the Spanish Maritime Law Association and members of the judiciary. Extensive discussions about the recent developments in the Spanish Shipping Act took place during the different sessions. The Congress was organized with the collaboration of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Public Works, the Spanish Maritime Cluster and ANAVE (Spanish Shipowners’ Association), and was sponsored by ABORS GALIANO PORTALES, among others. Eduardo Albors, Javier Portales and Javier Galiano participated in the Congress by presenting the topics Arrest of Ships, Limitation of Liability and Liability for delay in maritime carriage, respectively.
