The IV Nautical Conference hosted by ANEN (Spanish Marine Trade Association), in which our Firm took active part, concluded yesterday. Eduardo Albors participated in the panel discussion on the current “legal and tax framework” of the new forms of consumption that are emerging within the nautical and sport sector. The panel discussion was moderated by our Senior Associate Carlos Sanlorenzo, also Secretary General of ANEN. Eduardo Albors also explained the regulation of the nautical charter contract recently included in the Spanish Shipping Act.
The debate aroused great interest among the participants –more than 300- of the Conference, which brought together representatives of the Directorate General of the Merchant Marine, including its Director General Mr. Rafael Rodríguez Valero, businesspeople from the recreational boating industry, representatives from institutions related to the nautical industry, etc.
A dinner was held to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of ANEN and was attended by our Partner Eduardo Albors, our Senior Associates Carlos Sanlorenzo and Alfonso Ochoa (head of our Barcelona office) who shared the table with Mr. Julio Fuentes, General Technical Secretary for the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Rafael Rodríguez Valero, Director General of the Merchant Marine as well as with businesspeople from the nautical industry.
