A working breakfast organised by the Spanish Maritime Cluster has taken place this morning. The guest speaker was Mr. Javier Vega de Seoane, Head of the “Círculo de Empresarios” (Businessmen Association). Our Partners Eduardo Albors and Javier Galiano and our Senior Associate Carlos Sanlorenzo attended the working breakfast on behalf of the Firm.

Mr. Julio Gómez Pomar (Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Housing) and Ms. Begoña Cristeto (Secretary-General for Industry and Small and Medium Companies) also attended, as well as outstanding representatives from the shipping industry.

The event was opened by Mr. Alejandro Aznar, Head of the Spanish Maritime Cluster, and then Mr. Vega de Seoane took the floor. Mr. Vega de Seoane analysed the main problems our economy is facing at present, amongst them, public debt, deficit and unemployment. Mr. Vega de Seoane also pointed out that competitiveness, active role of the civil society and corporate responsibility are key factors for Span’s economic growth.
