Eduardo Albors participated in the presentation of the Maritime and Transport Law section of the Madrid Law Society thanks to Mr. Luis San Simón’s invitation, the lawyer who has assumed the important challenge directing it.

The introduction of the event fell on Ms. Carmen Pérez de Andújar, Vice-Secretary of Material and Logistic Resources of the General Council of Spanish Advocacy. Mr. Luis San Simón explained the milestones he intends to achieve by the impulse of the new Section, amongst which he highlighted: training, publication of reports, participation in legislative processes, creation of an Arbitration Tribunal for maritime affairs and the creation of an observatory for tracking the implementation of international maritime rules in Spain.

Mr. Rodolfo González Lebrero, in his condition of President of the Spanish Maritime Law Association outlined the singularities of Maritime Law, and Eduardo Albors, as Vice-president of the said Association, ended the meeting celebrating the initiative of the Madrid Law Society with the creation of this Section and insisted on the joint effort that lawyers can develop in order to restore the Spanish maritime jurisdiction
