New York, 5th May 2016. The CMI has shared the answers drafted by the national maritime Law associations to the questionnaire about liability for wrongful arrest. This interesting session was held within the New York Conference with the assistance of our Partners Eduardo Albors and Javier Portales.
The members of the working group (IWG) are Sir Bernard Eder, Ms. Aleka Mandaraka Sheppard, Mr. In Hyeon Kim (South Korea) and Mr. Hamilton Whitman; coordinated by Mr. Giorgio Berlingieri and Ms. Gina Venezia.
During his intervention, Sir Bernard Eder requested the members to contribute to the standardization of the matter. The Spanish Maritime Law Association has already answered the CMI questionnaire confirming the objective character of such liability.
